Terms and Conditions (last revised January 2008)

General Terms:

1) Joining Keysback: You become a member of Keysback when you receive unique Keysback serial number(s) assigned by us to you. These serial numbers may be on Keysback keyfobs or advised by us to you in other ways. 2) Annual Charge: The cost of a Keysback fob is £2.00 per annum. The initial charge is for 5 years cover i.e. £10.00 per fob. Renewal charges are calculated on the same basis i.e. £10.00 per fob for an additional 5 years cover. Annual charges for items other than keyfobs are negotiated separately. All payments are due within 30 days of your receipt of an invoice from Keysback. 3) Recovery of Keys: You attach each Keysback keyfob to a set of keys that you want us to recover. Every time you lose your keys, you must pay the finder £7.50 cash before they give you your keys back. You can pay them directly or we can do it for you if you have paid us £7.50 in advance. 4) Recovery of Other Items: Any costs for recovery of items other than keys are negotiated separately in advance. 5) Discounts/VAT: Charges may be decreased for volume orders and special promotions. VAT will be added to all charges. 6) Refund of Payments: You may terminate your membership at any time. Upon termination of membership, we will refund amounts paid by you in the 90 days preceding termination provided that you discontinue use of the serial numbers we have assigned to you e.g. return your Keysback fobs to us or dispose of them in any manner we request. 7) Membership Records: We keep records about you such as the address to which we should return your keys/items, and your telephone/mobile number(s) so we can call before returning your items to you. You may access/change these details at any time provided that you comply with any procedures we may use to confirm your identity. 8) We honour our strict Privacy Policy.

Specific Limitations:

9) Item Limitations: Your keys may not weigh more than 200 grams or have any dimension of more than 20 centimetres. If your keys exceed these limits then we reserve the right to charge additional amounts, payable at our discretion prior to recovery. Limitations on weight/dimensions of items other than keys are negotiated separately in advance. 10) Recovery Limitations: We assume no liability if your items are not returned to you due to incorrect membership records, so you should notify us promptly of relevant changes to your details. We reserve the right not to recover your items if any payment due from you to us is past its due date. 11) Postal Service: We assume no liability for incorrect delivery or speed of delivery of mail. 12) Serial Number Duplication: You may not duplicate a Keysback serial number so as to represent that we will recover more than one item with the same serial number. 13) Assignment: You may not assign or transfer your Keysback membership to any other person without our prior consent. 14) Variation: No variation of this agreement shall have effect unless confirmed in writing by us to you.
